The Danish Formula cup R3 was hold at the great and fast track in Vejle. The track turned out to be a super track for Formula 1 cars.
The race turned out to be at close battle between Christian Lehm (XRAY) and Johnni Andersen. Both drivers had a lot of speed and could advance from the other drivers. The track had both a technical section and a fast section and due to the changing track temperature it made the race very exiting.
The training the day before showed that Christian had found a set-up that was slightly faster than Johnni but nothing could be taken for granted. The track had both narrow sections, sloping curves and varied at the same time in heights. The cars were therefore tested at every corner and it required that the car was both fast in the technical sections and at the same time could take the turns at a high speed.
Christian had the advantage in the technical part of the track and Johnni having a advantage in the fast section made the race exiting to the end. With TQ Christian could start from the front and with a clean run made the finish in first run. In the 2 run a small mistake by Christian got the car up on two wheels and ended in the grass. 3 run was crucial for the podium finish and with a very clean run from both drivers Christian could make a small gap and secure the podium finish and race winner.
